My son and I took an early fall morning drive to look for migrating birds. Just south of Hepburn Saskatchewan, we came across a flock of thousands of snow geese. Although I took other photos showing how they covered the sky, I like the simplicity of this shot. The moon actually did appear as it is shown.
I've been told that flocks of Snow Geese tend to fly in a straight line while Canada Geese fly in the classic V formation. I'll have to watch more to see if it holds true. They are also known to fly together sometimes.
